Food
Posting with this free blog template can be kind of challenging, so for now, this is what I’ve worked out. Newer Food posts will be here at the top, and I may just end up dedicating an entire site to the food to be in collaboration with the workouts and thoughts.
In terms of FOOD, this week definitely got away from me. I did not record it as well as I did the week before, and the difficulty that I am having is that the restaurant where I work has no caloric charts [probably because half of the foods there are extremely high in calorie content!]
Basically, this week was all about my cutting down on my urges to snack at night— some days were homeruns, other days were strikeouts. I finally got rid of the dreadful [read: really, really good] Costco muffins [there was only one left], and I bought fat-free corn chips and salsa as my nighttime snack instead of Milano cookies. I still enjoy a glass of wine every night, but I try to balance it out with more water intake. As my discipline increases, so does my capacity to stay on top of what I am eating, and how I am recording it. My goal in the next week is to eat more salads, white meat, fish and chicken, and less fried food, steak, and baked potatoes.
Also, I will cook for myself once a week, and record the recipe and how it actually turned out
I would LOVE suggestions for chicken recipes especially, and best idea will be re-posted on the site.
What is your favorite health food? Let me know!

Holy COW! I can actually SEE what’s going in and why it affects me so much. The whole deal I made with Angela was just to record my intake and scale back, gradually, from there. I guess this gives me a place to start from!

Here’s my favorite new chicken recipe. Super easy and tasty. Parker and I usually eat it with black beans and rice. Good luck: http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1886432
